Our client is a venture backed technology company headquartered in Boston and managed by experienced serial entrepreneurs.  They are a fresh start-up in Boston lead by experienced SaaS Executives and Investors leading the Mobile Chatbot revolution and developing the best social media marketing platform.  Their vision is to connect customers based on their context to create meaningful conversation. Conversations will strengthen and improve both existing and new experiences.  They are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated technical Product Manager to join their Team.  You will be working in a fast-paced environment owning multiple projects and be a key advocate for improving the value and experience customers have with our product.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer needs and competitive landscape in our space, define the product strategy for users. You will measure success by driving monthly active users and engagement.
  • You will build product roadmaps, work backwards from the customer to define exciting new features, work closely with the designers and developers to deliver product releases, and perform deep analytics on customer behavior that defines this new interest-based experience.
  • Identify and generate new ideas to fill gaps that will improve our product feature set and create competitive advantages, work alongside our Strategy and Engineering teams to translate product requirements into detailed specs and prototypes, work closely with the Engineering teams to deliver detailed and well thought out product specs.
  • Act as a product evangelist (own your projects!) to gain buy-in and understanding from Stakeholders, and everything else that goes along with building a world class company! Wear a lot of hats and be constantly learning and improving your skill set.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business goals and resources, drive product launches from concept to completion
  • The ideal candidate thrives in successfully delivering broadly adopted technology products/services in a high growth environment where priorities shift quickly. She or he is a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and in a compelling manner, and who understands how to drive a high level of focus and excellence.
 
Qualifications
  • A passion for social/content creation applications but if you're worried about domain experience requirements- don't be. We're looking for smart, passionate and proven people; prior mobile, social or marketing experience is not required. If you are entrepreneurial and like to move fast and innovate on behalf of our customers in an emerging, potentially game-changing space for our client, we would love to hear from you!
  • Ability to analyze business requirements, define the customer experience, evaluate implementations options, make trade-off and prioritization decisions, and drive delivery across organizational boundaries, curiosity to dig several layers deep into technical solutions with an eye toward continuous improvement, ability to deliver initiatives from conception through completion
  • Demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly consumer products, websites, mobile apps, or experiences, strong analytical and quantitative skills and a bias towards making data-based decision, technical understanding and hands-on experience in Product Management software and best practices.
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and driving results, experience communicating (written and verbal) with technical and non-technical stakeholders across multiple business units, experience with agile or other product management methodologies
  • Master's degree in Computer Science and/or Business Administration preferred but not necessary
